The Directorate of Comita Group of Companies took part in a series of meetings during the visit of the President of Slovenia to Russia

As part of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor officialy visit to the Russian Federation, a series of Russian-Slovenian business meetings took place with the participation of the Management of Comita Group of Companies. President of Comita Group of Companies, Danilo Durakovich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Comita Group of Companies Nebojsa Jankovic and General Director of the Management Company of Comita Group of Companies” Vladimir Kostrov took part in meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and the Russian Railways, as well as in the business meeting “Looking to the Future: new opportunities for cooperation with Europe “. At these meetings, comprehensive technical solutions were presented jointly implemented by Slovenian and Russian enterprises of Comita Group of Companies.

At the meeting of the Minister of energy RF Alexander Novak, Minister of infrastructure of Slovenia Peter Gaspersic confirmed the interest in further development of bilateral relations.. The head of the Russian energy department noted the focus on the consistent development of cooperation in the oil and gas industry. Also discussed acute issues of implementation of joint projects and exchange of experience between Russian and Slovenian companies..

Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov at a meeting with Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Ereiawes expressed satisfaction with the current dynamics of the progressive development in Russian-Slovenian cooperation in the field of communications. The Ministers also noted the successful work of the Intergovernmental Russian-Slovenian Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation.

Oleg Belozerov, President of OAO “Russian Railways”, discussed with the Slovenian Minister of Infrastructure, Peter Gaspershic, about the prospects for cooperation between the Russian and Slovenian on railways issues, as well as the possibility of joint implementation on the project for the construction of a second railway route on the section from the Divaca station to the Koper port with a length of 27 km.

“Between Russia and Slovenia exist the key thing: mutual trust”, — said in his speech at the business meeting “looking to the future: new opportunities for cooperation with Europe” the head of Slovenia Borut Pahor. According to him, relations between the two countries extend beyond trade and economic ties. “There is a powerful humanitarian, psychological aspect, the awareness of belonging to the Slavic world. The evidence of this – opening in 2016 during an official visit to Slovenia of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a monument to Russian and Soviet soldiers who died in the world wars. At the same time was very kind-hearted and humane ceremony on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the construction the Russian chapel in the mountains, in memory of the deaths of Russian army prisoner during the First world war,” he said.

According to the President of Slovenia, the current visit to Moscow is “evidence that Slovenia take a stand in favor of abolishing the anti-Russian sanctions, this is a sign of special relations in the actual difficult period of history.” He once again expressed his confidence that clever and thoughtful steps could lead to the normalization of Russia’s relations with Europe.
