The President of Comita Group of Companies, in assembly with the Slovenian delegation, took part in meetings with the head of the Ministry of Communications RF and the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation

President of Comita Group of Companies Danilo Durakovich as part of the Slovenian delegation led by Deputy Chairman from the Government of the Republic Slovenia Dejan Zhidan, took part in two meetings – with the Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov and Deputy Minister of Energy Anatoly Yanovsky. At the meetings held on January the 17th in Moscow, discussed issues of Russian-Slovenian cooperation in the field of communications and energy, as well as the forthcoming visit of Slovenian President Borut Pahor to Moscow, scheduled for February 2017.

“Our relations are now experiencing a period of real growth. Of course, I mean visits at the highest level. This is the visit of Vladimir Putin to Slovenia in 2016, and the forthcoming visit of the President of Slovenia to Russia, to which we are preparing. Two of these visits in a short time create the necessary political platform for strengthening our bilateral relations, “N. Nikiforov said.

The Minister noted the successful work of the Intergovernmental Russian-Slovenian Commission for Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, within the framework of which 33 joint projects are being implemented, 6 of which have already been implemented.

At the meeting with A. Janowski discussed cooperation in the gas sector, and also in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The discussion was given a positive assessment of the work done in the framework of the signed in July 2015 Memorandum of understanding between the FGBU “REA” and AO “Comita” in resource efficiency, energy efficiency, enhancing energy and environmental security and the use of alternative energy sources.

Meeting’s participants expressed interest in more intensively development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Russian Federation and Slovenia.
