Local automation systems are a complex of means of automation, that provides an autonomous function of managing the set parameters of a technological object or its part, or a controlling function of technological management entity.

Local automation systems can be used as standalone systems, as well as to work as a part of ASU TP «high-level» systems. Local automation systems can continue to deliver their functionality even in case of being disconnected from ASU TP.
